Dr. Mohan’s International Diabetes Update 2016: Latest Advances in Diabetes Management

Dr. Mohans Diabetes Education Academy inaugurated the third edition of Dr. Mohan’s International Diabetes Update at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai on 29th of July.

The three-day program was inaugurated by Dr. Mullasari Ajit S, Director – Cardiology, The Madras Medical Mission, along with Dr. S. M. Sadikot, President, International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and other dignitaries from the industry.

The third edition Dr. Mohan’s International Diabetes Update 2016 highlighted the latest advances in diabetes management and prevention.

Dr. Mohan’s Education Academy conducts the International Diabetes Update every year. The program aimed to increase awareness and update knowledge on the basic epidemic of diabetes.

Over 1,500 delegates and 150 faculty members from all around the globe participated in the third edition of the program. The participants shared their insights on diabetes and various fields of expertise.

Diabetes Management Leaps Forward With the Development of Artificial Pancreas
Scientists have developed an artificial pancreas which could bring a world of hope to the lives of millions of people suffering diabetes.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. V. Mohan, Chairman, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Centre said, “Today diabetes is one of the biggest threats faced. The risk factors are more often associated with race, age, and family history. Dr. Mohan’s International Diabetes Update will focus on advancements, awareness and early prevention of diabetes.
