Reports reveal that DC Comics' Batman that was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane has completed 75 years.

The Caped Crusader's first appeared in DC Comics' Detective Comics No. 27, where he starred in 'The Case of the Chemical Syndicate' in May, 1939, ABC News reported.

The fictional character quickly became popular after his introduction.

The superhero's role has been portrayed by several Hollywood A-listers such as George Clooney, Christian Bale and the latest being Ben Affleck.
