Cell Replacement Promises Cure for Blindness
New treatments that can help the blind see are eagerly awaited following a major breakthrough in cell research.
Experts have discovered that cells in the front of the eye can replace the diseased ones in the back of the eye, the Mirror reported.

The finding could lead to treatments for some of the most common forms of sight loss, including wet age-related macular degeneration, which affects one in three over-70s.

Researchers at the University of Southampton are now testing whether cells grown in labs can be put back in the eye to improve vision.
