Canada dishes out ample funding for health care .

A report published by the Canadian Institute for Health Information, an independent organization in Canada appointed by the federal and provincial governments to track health care expenditure incurred by the government reveals that the provincial and territorial governments of Canada continues to maintain lofty figures but shows signs of easing out to a steady sum in the near future .

According to the report the total expenditure on health care would scale up to $96 billion this year which is an impressive 5.7% more than the 2005-2006 financial year.This however is lower than than the average growth rate which notched up to 7% over the last seven years. The provinces and territories are expected to spend $2,931 per person on health care this year, up 4.5 per cent from the previous year.

Health care is no more a frontier that threatens to take up a large chunk of the government’s total budget clarifies this report.
