Tests revealed that she had a five inch bamboo rod embedded in her face for nearly a year and she had no clue about it.

Doctors at Xiang Ya Hospital in Changsha, Hunan Province scanned the 61-year-old Chinese woman's face and they found that a rod was stuck in her face.

Medical staff is unable to fathom how the bamboo stick managed to get stuck inside her face for eight months. She had to be operated to remove the bamboo stick, and is on the road to recovery.
