is a Professor at the Department of Neurology and Head of Research, Betty Cowan
Research & Innovation Centre at The Christian Medical College and Hospital,
Ludhiana, Punjab. He is involved in extensive stroke research in India,
improving patient care and raising awareness about the condition.
His recent studies on
unearthed that in India, one third of stroke
patients leave the hospital against the advice of the doctors. Moreover, only 31% of stroke victims return to work. Such findings reveal the current state
of affairs of stroke awareness among patients in India and the need to bring
