Plantain Recipe

English name: Plantain

The tender ones have good qualities. So select tender plantains for cooking.

Preparation

Ingredients

  • Plantain - 200 gm
  • Ghee - 2 spoons
  • Pepper powder - 1 spoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 spoon
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Rock salt - to taste

Method

Peel and cut the plantain into pieces. Add it to mustard seasoned in ghee. Add salt and sauté it till it becomes soft. Add pepper powder and cumin powder. Mix it well and serve.

Hi, the amount of coconut is not clear in the recipe-the units are missing. is it 1/2 TBS?

It seems like all the flavours are competing with one another - andasafoetida is an aquired taste. I will persevere and eat it because I love beetroot, but I don't think i will make it again, sorry!
