New Glands That Lubricate Our Throat Called Tubarial Salivary Glands Discovered

A potential new organ in the throat region has been discovered by scientists from the Netherlands. They were working on prostate cancer, when they stumbled upon a pair of hitherto unknown salivary glands in an area where the hollow space of our nose meets the throat at the back (so called as nasopharyngeal region). The scientists verified the presence of these glands in a further 100 patients diagnosed with prostate gland cancer.
