Sex Perverts in Britain Go Scot Free by Giving False Address!
A British judge was shocked to discover that sex perverts could easily roam about unchecked by just registering their home address as a bus stop or park bench.

The glitch in the law could prove to be very dangerous, as it allows rapists and paedophiles, like rocker Gary Glitter, 64, to move about freely and to go about their activities undetected.

Those convicted of crimes, but later released, need to sign the Sex Offenders' Register, which is designed to keep track of perverts.

Judge Anthony Scott-Gall has branded the loophole "astonishing", after he heard of it when a homeless sex offender appeared at Lewes Crown Court, Sussex, after going missing for nearly three years.

"How do the police keep track of people who have no fixed address?" Daily Star quoted the judge as asking.

Prosecutor Barbara Down further explained to him how the loophole worked.

"Apparently, it is perfectly acceptable to sign the register with a particular bus stop or public bench as your home address," she said.

"Offenders can even put down 'The third tree on the left in Friston Forest' if they want," she added.

Shaking his head, the judge said: "That's quite astonishing."

After the hearing, Yvonne Traynor, of the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre UK, was quite furious that such a thing could be allowed to happen.

"This makes a mockery of the system," she stated.

"If the police are not keeping tabs on these people, we're all in big trouble," she added.

Mappa, which runs the Sex Offenders' Register, confirmed the bizarre addresses can be used, the only thing offenders need to do is to inform the police if they are moving.

I am not in the least surprised that this has been a shock to LJ Scott-Gall. There should never have been this USA adopted register in the first place incorporated into the UK legal system, as the register has not been proven to prevent or decrease sexual offences in all its form. However, what has occured is a political voter tweeking tool, tabloid sale gimmick and of course the imaginative cat and mouse methods employed by the potential offender against this stupid system, police, detection, and vigilantism. Of course if anyone had to 'register' their personal details regarding something which if publicised may result in them being vilified in the media, outed and ostracised from their families and communities, their homes, businesses and property vandalised, their own children harassed, bullied and spat on by adults and other children alike, their stable home life seriously disrupted, employment terminated or virtually impossible to obtain...then of course they will give a tree, park bench, the local pub, a bus shelter as their home address. But that's not all...some do move abroad where they continue to abuse or target potential victims far from British shores and some even legally 'marry' children elsewhere which is a further mockery. Gary Glitter would be considered a chior boy compared to those cases the public and the judge never hears of abroad - thanks to the government ensuring that the UK is an unsafe and unsuitable place for sex offenders to live. Do you honestly think and believe that the image promoted regarding sex offenders have been erased from memory? The Megan Law hype and other rethorics have only succeeded in causing offenders of whatever level or status to adopt ways and means of 'protecting themselves' - not our children. What ought to have been employed is good old fashion policing, inteligence, detection & crime prevention methods designed to protect the public and vulnerable children. Not yet again some political gimmick rushed through parliament for political vote winning purposes. It's time we all sit down and do our own research to find out what the psychological experts in this area of offending globally have discovered to be best practice; research the statistics: is it true or false that countries with registers have lesser offending or re-ofending, or not? Does the existence of a register prevent fathers from committing incest; prevent step-fathers from targeting step kids? Do your own research. The facts will tell.
