Pak Doc Explains Why Food Poisoning Strangely Shoots Up During Ramazan
It has been observed that there is a considerable rise in the number of food poisoning cases in Pakistan during Ramzan (the month of fasting and prayer before Id). Now, a Lahore doctor has attributed this sudden spurt in the illness to the consumption of food that is prepared in open markets. Such food is, of course, unhygienic and unhealthy, he says.

Additional Medical Superintendent (Addl MS) at the Mayo Hospital's Emergency Ward, Dr Abdul Aleem said last evening that people suffering from food-related diseases usually visited the emergency ward with complaints of gastroenteritis, typhoid, dehydration, acidity and diarrhea, which generally increased in Ramazan, reported the Daily Times.

He added that the people should avoid consuming openly-available eatable items and beverages, especially all fried things like samosas and pakoras, to stay out of danger.

As a precautionary measure, he also urged the people to avoid overeating, and to concentrate on liquids to keep themselves healthy during Ramazan.

But this doesn't explain clearly why the food poisoning is suddenly increased during the Ramazan. Already lot of people eat openly-available food most of them are not complaining!!
