How to Take Ivacaftor and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with fat-containing food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adults and pediatric patients age 6 years and older: one 150 mg tablet taken orally every12 hours with fat-containing food.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

It should not be co-administered with antibiotics rifampin, seizure medications and St. John’s Wort.
