Nutrition Facts - Balanced Diet

A balanced diet is a diet, which provides sufficient amounts of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals nutrients to maintain good health and with a small provision for periods of leanness or scarcity.

Health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, not just the absence of disease or infirmity.

It is easy to follow a well-balanced healthy diet when you judiciously combine all the basic food groups. A simple way to do this is to follow the food pyramid.
