World's Most Expensive Hot Dog Priced at $169

A Seattle based food van has made the world's most expensive 12-inch hot dog priced at 169 dollars. The Juuni Ban hot dog is made of smoked cheese bratwurst sausage, topped with luxury treats such as caviar, fois gras and shaved black truffles, by Japanese fusion food specialists Tokyo Dog, the Daily Star reported.

The owner, Eugene Woo, has claimed that the "savoury" hot dog tastes fabulous and a lot of real research has gone into making it.

It took the creators a year to put together the gourmet hot dog and the chefs require two weeks notice to prepare the ingredients.

The proceeds from the sales of the hot dog, which has been tried by five people so far, are being donated to the Red Cross.
