Two children died in two Bihar villages soon after being administered DPT (diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus) injection Saturday. About 100 kids were reportedly ill after the dosage.
According to official sources, the deaths took place in Khaira and Sahar villages in Bhojpur district, about 60 km from here. Twelve children have been admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital.The district administration said the vaccination programme was launched for children below one year of age.
On Dec 13, a mysterious disease showing symptoms of high fever and body ache killed 12 children in two or three villages in West Champaran district.
