Third Set of Twins Born to 41 Year Old Mom

Karen, 41, and husband Colin, 44, are parents of their third set of twins, Rowan and Isla Rodger. The couple already has four boys, Lewis and Kyle, 14, and Finn and Jude, 12. Mother Karen Rodger seems to have done a hat trick of sorts by getting pregnant with her third set of twins, born at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.

Karen and Colin Rodger were informed that the odds of having three sets of twins were 500,000-1 and even though doctors thought it was unlikely, she found that it truly was another set of twins during a routine scan. However, the couple chose not to know the sex of the babies till their birth.

Mrs Rodger said: ‘I was convinced I was having two boys. I’m still getting my head around the fact that there will be more girls in the house – people to steal my sparkly shoes and make-up. I’m absolutely over the moon it’s girls. It’s definitely going to be a good journey ahead.’
