A recent study has debunked the well-known phenomenon called ‘Freshman 15’ to call it a complete myth- “There is no 'freshman 15.”

Being away at college is not the cause of weight gain in children, the study found. Statistics show that less than 10 percent of college freshman gain 15 pounds.
Infact, 25 percent freshmen knocked off a few pounds and the average person piled on 1.5 pounds a year during each of the first four years after college.
