Study Says 70 Percent Single British Women Have Unprotected Sex
Seven out of 10 single women in Britain indulge in unprotected sex, reveals study.
The study of women, aged between 18 and 40, found a large percentage adopt a "head in the sand" approach to sexually transmitted diseases. The average single woman has had unprotected sex 11 times with a total of four different men, Daily Mail reported citing figures.

Research also found one third of the women get "swept away in the moment" and forgetting to use condoms. One in five women said they trusted their sexual partners for not infecting them.

Eighteen percent of the single girls said they were often too drunk to use contraception while eight percent admitted not feeling like "using condoms".

Despite being older and wiser, one in 10 women aged over 30 feels embarrassed to bring up the subject of protection with a new partner.

The report also found women aged between 30 and 40 were most likely to have contracted a sexually transmitted infection, followed by those in the 18 to 29 age group.

The survey of 2,000 women's attitudes to sex was conducted by DrFox.co.uk, an online medical group.
