
A new study has revealed that about 7 percent of American teenagers are reportedly hooked to their mobile phones, sending text messages.
The data from the Family Online Safety Institute indicated that text messaging is the most popular activity amongst teenagers with the staggering figure having done so in the past 30 days.

According to Mashable, more than 80 percent of teens also participated in mobile gaming, emailing and social networking.
Other top activities that keep the teens glued to their mobile phones include sending emails, accessing social networking sites, messenger service, photo-sharing via Instagram or Snapchat and the least popular activity is checking in or sharing location, the report added.
