Stay Active and Exercise More to be Healthy
Health officials have advised the senior lot in New Zealand to exercise more if they wish to live long and healthy lives.
The Ministry of Health has come out with a fresh set of guidelines for improved physical activity in people above 65 years.

It is important that older people step out for a good walk, or a swim or even a ride on the bike to experience better health.

“Ideally, people will be adding in activities that promote flexibility and balance – such as carrying shopping, stretching, and golf,” said experts.

The senior lot must be encouraged to stay active and not idle. Even performing household chores like shopping, walking, cleaning the house, mowing the lawns and gardening can also contribute towards good health.

By keeping active and eating a good diet, people over 65 years can keep chronic diseases at bay. This news should be encouragement enough for the senior lot to lead active lives.
