Srinagar Drug Peddlers Arrested by Police: 43 Cases Registered

The Srinagar police declared recently that they had arrested 63 drug peddlers in 2014. They had 43 cases registered against them. Police have requested the people to seek their help if any suspicious activities were on.

"In total, 13,682 contraband tablets and capsules, 823 intoxicant bottles, 21 kg poppy, 12.587 kg charas and 22 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the arrested peddlers," the spokesman said.

Ever since, the police have maintained a steady momentum. They also assured that the citizen's identity would be kept confidential. The general public can inform on the helpline numbers provided.
