Stinking and bad body odor among employees can be a serious put off in the workplace and has been rated as the number one irritant in an office environment.
Detestable as it is, some employees do not bother about hand hygiene after visiting the loo. They can contaminate office surfaces and computers by placing their dirty hands on common surfaces which can spread harmful bacteria.
Bad breath is another major put off, the survey revealed. Sound of eating was also ranked fourth in the order of irritants at the workplace.
Office hygiene was another area which needed some sprucing up, employees did not bother to clean their desks, as revealed by close to 1,100 respondents.
Mouse and cockroaches in the workplace can add to filth and spread infection creating an unhealthy office atmosphere.
