With Ebola virus hitting the port city of Lagos, claiming two lives while infecting five others, the Nigerian public sector doctors have announced that they will be suspending a five-week long strike in order to deal with the outbreak. A statement from the National Medical Association union listed "the incursion of Ebola into Nigeria" as a main reason for suspending the strike.
