Pediatricians from the American Academy of Pediatrics have said that it is imperative to protect children and expectant mothers from exposure to toxic chemicals.

The adverse effect of toxins is far more serious to the developing brains of children than adults.

Exposure to pesticides before birth can cause reduced IQ scores in children. Further, exposure to toxins may be the reason for the surge in chronic diseases like ADHD, asthma, allergies, and autism.

Pediatricians have pressed the government for better regulation of toxic chemicals.
