Police Issue Warning on Dangers Of Mephedrone

Following the illness of a teenage girl in Chippenham in UK, police have issued a warning on the dangers of Mephedrone

Following the illness of a teenage girl in Chippenham in UK, police have issued a warning on the dangers of Mephedrone. Police said that the 14-year-old girl feel sick after taking a concoction of alcohol and MCAT, which is known as mephedrone.

The girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, from where she was released on Sunday evening after being kept in observation.

"Wiltshire Police are urging all parents, and all young people to be aware of the dangers which this drug may easily cause, particularly if mixed with other drugs or alcohol, and we believe that the young female in Chippenham has been particularly fortunate not to have been more seriously injured," a spokesman for the Wiltshire police told the press.

This development has taken place even as the UK government is mulling on making the drug illegal.
