Over 500 patients with kidney ailments across India are expected to participate and the event is being held to celebrate the five-year anniversary of Nephroplus.

The dialysis network is also looking to expand further in the coming five years with 200 more centres, of which, at least 30 will be set up in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Nephroplus officials said that they would also start providing peritoneal dialysis and pain free dialysis services.

Dialysis is a process for removing waste and excess water from the blood, and is used primarily as an artificial replacement for impaired kidney function in people with renal failure.
