More Than 10 Million Britons Find New Year’s Eve as the “Most Depressing” Night of the Year
While the rest of the world will be partying late into the night, more than 10 million Britons said that they find New Year’s eve to be the most depressing night of the year with more than half of them revealing that they will be in bed by 10.30 pm.
The study by hotel firm Travelodge found four in 10 adults refusing to celebrate the start of 2013, which is up 10 percent on last year. Instead, they would shun the parties and go to bed at their usual time with many blaming the economic gloom for their cheap night in, Daily Express reported Monday.

One in 10 said they "feel exhausted" after Christmas and just wished to catch up on their sleep before returning to work.

Just 18 percent of the people said they would go out to a party on the New Year eve, with London, Edinburgh and Birmingham set to be the hot spots.
