Majority Americans Favour Ban on Texting While Driving
A staggering 90 percent of Americans want writing text messages while driving to be banned, according to a poll.

The CBS News/New York Times survey quizzed 1042 adults across the country, and found that only 8 percent had no problems against texting while behind the wheels.

As many as 83 percent were opposed to the practice, while 16 percent of respondents between 18 and 29 were more tolerant, reports CBS News.

Ninety-four percent of those over the age of 45 said that texting should be outlawed.

And men and women were found to be more or less on the same page, with 88 percent men and 92 percent women thinking that it should be made illegal.
