The Live Earth concerts and Denmark's Roskilde Festival will both pick up environmental awards at the Midern Music conference later this month.
The two events will be honoured for their ecological live event production, along with the Paleo Festival in Switzerland. The awards acknowledge how each of the events tried to make themselves environmentally sustainable, reports the BBC.
The Live Earth concerts, which took place in eight countries simultaneously in one day last July, were organised by former US vice president Al Gore to help raise environmental awareness.
The Live Earth events used green power and biodegradable drinking cups and created carbon offsets to thwart the impact of travel by visiting celebrities.
The Roskilde Festival in Denmark, meanwhile, is recognised for a drinks initiative which saw festivalgoers return 97 percent of their plastic cups to recycling deposits.
Paleo Festival Nyon is powered by a single green energy source, which utilises wind and water energy from the Swiss Alps.
