The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken a step that could facilitate the search and rescue operation of missing children easier for the law enforcement.

A survey released several years ago by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children found that more than one-third of parents couldn't remember the height, weight and eye colour of their children.
To tackle the situation, the FBI has made an admirable leap into the digital age with the release of an iPhone app called 'Child ID', reports ABC News.
This is the first-ever mobile app released by the FBI. Not only can parent's input and store information about their child's appearance using this app, but they can also send information directly from the app to law enforcement during a crisis.
