Corporate hospitals, which were recently struck of the preferred provider network (PPN) of public sector health insurers, are due to meet the firms to sort out the issue.
Heads of leading corporate hospitals met with representatives of New India Assurance, United India Insurance, National Insurance and Oriental Insurance to hammer out a settlement. They decided to form working groups to provide a solution to the issues raised by the insurance firms.
It is being reported that the private hospitals are ready to offer standardized treatment packages for 250 common procedures in order to get back on the PPN list.
Public insurance firms stopped cashless facilities for private hospitals recently as they felt the latter were overcharging them.
