Children who are placed in day care centers by their parents may have higher stress hormone levels in their body

He added that the high levels of stress hormone could have both short and long term health implications including heart disease later in the child’s life.
“The effects of day-care on the child continue to be discussed through the prism of adult sexual politics and women’s rights. This has been a significant impediment, involving a serious conflict of interest: Women’s rights and self-fulfilment are not the same issue as a child’s well-being and may often compete for precedence”, he said.
