by Medindia Content Team on Jan 31 2006 12:14 PM

Profit based Vancouver Company Copeman Healthcare Inc.’s may face charges of legal action and fine as the company plans to charge an initial consultation fee of $3,500. The Ontario Health Coalition is going to submit a memorandum to the Health ministry to take action against the Copeman Healthcare as the coalition is against money based treatment and recommends universal rate for all treatment.

Copeman Healthcare is aimed at setting up profit based clinics providing best treatment and consultation to its paid customers at an annual fee of $2,300 which offers better hospital infrastructure, consultation on the same day, specialist consultation and early surgery dates.

Ontario Health Ministry is against the new proposed Healthcare as they feel that the new system will benefit only the rich and treatment based on money. The ministry also warns any individual paying fee to the Copeman would be fined around $10,000 and even doctors accepting the fees would be liable to fine of up to $25,000.
