Chandigarh - the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana - will soon have 20 condom vending machines installed at key locations, it was announced Friday.
The machines will be installed by the state AIDS control society. Public sector undertaking Hindustan Latex Limited (HLL) will operate, insure and refill these machines, an official spokesman said.Most of the machines will be installed at men's toilets at various places.
The points identified for the installation of the condom vending machines will be at the main shopping hub in Sector 17 and 22, bus stands in Sector 17 and 43, Panjab University students centre, rest rooms of leading hotels, Chandigarh Club and near the city's airport, the official said.
