A cup of coffee can help boost a
woman's brain power and enhances their performance in stressful or
high-pressure situations, says a study done by psychologists at Bristol
University in the U.K.
However this is not the case with men. In fact, male participants in the study who had several cups of coffee became less confident, took a longer time to finish their tasks and slowed down their decision making.
Researchers have concluded that this difference in behavior to the effects of coffee varies because men and women respond differently to stress. These findings have been published in the Journal of Applied Social Psychology.
