Chinese University Hires Robot Chefs Which can Feed 500 People in One Hour

Northeast Forestry University of China's Heilongjiang province has deployed two robot chefs which can cook a meal in about four minutes, the media reported.

According to authorities, to cook 10 kg of fish flavored pork slices, a robot chef only needs four minutes. The robot chef can feed 500 people in one hour, the People's Daily reported.

The robot chefs look like a roller washing machine.

According to Sun Yanchen, manager of the logistic service company of the university, the two robots can make over 2,000 different kinds of dishes independently.

It can ignite the fire and put cooking oil and all the ingredients all by itself.

Now, 70 percent of the dishes in the canteen are cooked by the robot chefs.
