There is skepticism about Canada’s Public health care system, with fear amongst people of what the changes might bring, causing a lot of ripples amongst people. The decade old system surely needs dissection, which will go a long way to revive the ailing healthcare.

Canada health care is notorious for prolonged waiting time for some treatments especially elective surgeries. Several Canadians even explore the option of availing other countries’ health care services, even if it costs them a bomb.

Health-care spending has hit an all time high in Canada. Alberta recorded a government healthcare spending of $3.7 billion annually in 1995-96. Statistics say, this figure has gone up 3 times about $9 billion dollars annually, slated to go up, even more.

Public opinion regarding prevailing healthcare was sought, that brought to light activities that have abused the healthcare system. An impending health care show down looms large if something is not done to salvage the system.
