Bihar Chief Minister Seeks Solution to Check Encephalitis Outbreak in his State

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has held a high level meeting with a research team to find out the reason for recent encephalitis outbreak in the state.

The minister sought solution to prevent outbreak of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome or AES, along with the Japanese Encephalitis. The outbreak has affected a number of people in the state especially in Muzaffarpur and Gaya.

The research team includes doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Science, Patna Medical College and Hospital, Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences, Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, Muzaffarpur, Anugrah Narayan Memorial Magadh Medical College and Kejriwal Hospital in Muzaffarpur.

The team would study the situation with the help of the UNICEF, Kumar said.
