There may be some promise in this strange mix of green tea and red light in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, scientists reveal.

Animal experiments point out that green-tea extract with red light is capable of reaching tissue and bone to activate cell mitochondria and begin a process which can enhance the permeability of the barrier, researchers said. Other drugs which are capable of attacking beta-amyloid plaques can be delivered to the brain in a similar manner.
"This important research could form the basis of a potential treatment for Alzheimer's, with or without complementary drug treatment. The technique described could help to regulate and even stop the appearance of this disease," researchers said.
