70 School Children Fall Sick After Consuming Mid-day Meal In Uttar Pradesh

Nearly 70 children fell sick due to suspected food poisoning after eating mid-day meal at a Government Primary school at Juggaur in Chinhat area in the state capital.

As soon as the children consumed the meal at the school around noon, they began vomiting and complained of loose motions.

Soon after the children consumed their meal at a school in Tangraila village, they first complained of uneasiness followed by vomiting with some of them fainting.

Locals and parents rushed the children to the nearby Lohia hospital in Gomtinagar where the condition of a few was said to be serious.

Senior district and education department officials rushed to the hospital to oversee the treatment.

Angry parents created a ruckus at the school and allowed the staff to leave only after the intervention of some elders.
