Isoniazid is used in combination with other drugs to treat tuberculosis (TB- Infection affecting lungs and other parts of the body).
Isoniazid is also to treat:
. Latent (resting or non- growing) TB
. Active TB
. Prevent TB among close contacts with people who have active TB
. Patients with a positive tuberculin skin test
. TB patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, and with pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs).
