Endorphins: Endorphins are natural painkillers released in the brain in response to various stimuli, such as pain, laughter, anxiety, and exercise, among others.

Runner’s high: This is a feeling of euphoria that engulfs an individual within 30 to 60 seconds of intense vigorous exercise.

Opiate receptors: The endorphins and other opioid polypeptides bind to opiate receptors to transmit their signals and bring about their effect. Opiate signals are of 5 types: (δ, k, µ, ε, σ)
