Why is Ezogabine Prescribed? (Indications)
This medication is an anti-epileptic agent, prescribed for partial-onset seizures. It reduces abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
When should Ezogabine not to be taken? (Contraindications)
Hypersensitivity.
What is the dosage of Ezogabine ?
PO- Adult- The initial dosage should be 100 mg 3 times daily (300 mg per day).
How should Ezogabine be taken?
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.
What are the warnings and precautions for Ezogabine ?
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney or liver disease, enlarged prostate, trouble in urination, heart disease, mental illness, suicidal thoughts, low levels of potassium or magnesium in blood, QT prolongation, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.* Avoid alcohol consumption.
* It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
* Patient may develop with increased risk of suicidal thoughts; watch them carefully.

Eye - Double vision, blurred vision.Gastrointestinal - Nausea, constipation, indigestion.
General - Fatigue, weakness.
Infections - Influenza.
Metabolic - Decreased weight.
Central Nervous system - Dizziness, drowsiness, memory loss, tremor, fainting, incoordination, attention deficiency, speech disorder, balance disorder, tingling, confusional state, anxiety, disorientation.
Genitourinary - Painful urination, urinary hesitation, blood in urine, abnormal coloration of the urine.
