Women are Generous With Use of Emoticons in Text Messages and Emails

We all are aware of the popularity of emoticons and the variety available at our disposal.

A study found that, women, the fair sex, who are also sensitive and emotional beings, were found to show their emotions with emoticons in text messages and emails. In comparison to men, they happened to use them more.

The study which analyzed Smartphone data from men and women in almost 124000 text messages for a six month period, found that women are twice as likely as men to use emoticons in text messages.

Expressing love and emotions in small messages in this era of rapid technological progress, women seem to bank on the variety of smiley’s and emoticons to lead the way.
