In a move much appreciated, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recalling of 33,000 units of baby spoons, sold under the name BABYBJ'RN® Feeding Spoons.
The company BabySwede LLC of Sweden manufactures these spoons.The move was taken in response to consumer feedback regarding the safety of these spoons for use.
After extended use, the tips of the spoon were observed to soften and break off.
Though no unfortunate incidents were noted, the chance of choking hazards to babies was well obvious.
Consumers are advised to stop using the products immediately, and apply for a refund or replacement.
