 Move to Sanctioned Areas or Face De-recognition, Private Medical Colleges Warned
Medical Education & Research Minister of Punjab, Tikshan Sud, has come down heavily on private Medical, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Nursing and Para-Medical colleges, warning them of strict action, even de recognition, if they are operating on government unapproved sites.

During a recent inspection conducted by a special team, gross abnormalities came to light as medical institutes were not housed in sanctioned premises. The government has warned of strict action on those institutes that fail to comply with government imposed guidelines.

Sud confirmed that the government was dedicated to providing superior medical education and good infrastructure to the students. The minister also confirmed of measures being taken to spruce up faculty at medical and dental colleges.
