Alcohol associated admissions to hospital in the UK have gone up unimaginably in the last five years and is now touching 900 a day, a recent report has shown.

This is an alarming trend, experts say. A report by the North West Public Health Observatory at Liverpool John Moores University has shown a 25% increase in the numbers admitted to hospital due to alcohol abuse.

Despite all the awareness about the adverse effects of alcohol, it is disconcerting to note the increase in hospital admissions due to the abuse of alcohol.
