The leaves and the fruit of this plant are widely used and extremly beneficial:

The juice of amaranth leaves, applied on scalp and hair is said to arrest graying of hair. It also promotes growth of hair and prevents premature balding.

Amaranth leaves are good for bones as they have a high level of Vitamin K.

The juice applied on tick bites soothes them. It brings down swelling due to sprains.

The seeds can be cooked - good for gastritis and diarrhea.
