The deaths of an eight-year-old boy and aged woman and illness of others were reported yesterday amidst apprehensions of an outbreak of cholera. Medical teams were pressed into service today.
Civil Surgeon S K Bansal said 4-5 teams of doctors have been rushed to the village to educate the people about preventive measures.
He attributed the outbreak of the diseases to contaminated piped water supply adjoining some drains. Seven water samples have been sent to testing labs.
