Kiwi Couples Have Their Sex Lives to Thank for Thriving Romances

All credit to Kiwis' satisfying sex lives - a new survey has revealed that New Zealander's relationships are thriving due to that.

In the online survey of 1000 people, 67 percent of people said they were satisfied with the sexual aspects of their relationship, while 83 percent were satisfied with their relationship overall.

The survey, 'Talking about Sex in Relationships' was conducted by Relationship Services, New Zealand's largest counselling and relationship education agency.

It looked at the way that couples in long-term relationships talked about and dealt with issues relating to sex and intimacy.

"When it's not going well it can be a difficult issue to broach. Either way, it can be a major contributor to the level of satisfaction people feel," Stuff.co.nz quoted company official Cary Hayward, as saying.

Hayward said that one clear message from the survey was that talking and listening to your partner are two of the best sex aids available.

"People satisfied with their sexual relationship talk and listen to their partner. They discuss sexual problems even when it feels difficult. They focus more on understanding than on blame," Hayward said.

This survey highlighted again how important good communication is to all aspects of a relationship, including our sexual relationship.
