Haryana to Spend Rs 750 Crore on Rural Health: Hooda

Jhajjar, June 10 (PTI) Haryana would spend more than Rs 750 crore over next four years for improving rural health infrastructure, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today.

The Congress government was committed to providing best possible healthcare facilities at the village level and concerted efforts were being made to strengthen the rural healthcare infrastructure in the state, he said at a rally in Jasuar Kheri village of Bahadurgarh subdivision after laying the foundation stone of a primary health center.

The chief minister also laid the foundation stone of a 100-bedded civil hospital and a new grain market complex at the district headquarter.

Asking villagers to refrain from trying to bribe anyone for getting boys recruited in police, he said the government was committed to a fair recruitment on the 4000 posts of constables advertised recently.

He said not only those taking bribe would be prosecuted but anyone trying to use money to buy a berth in the police force would also face strict action.

Hooda said no development and improvement in standard of living was possible without creation of adequate basic infrastructure facilities including roads, water supply and power.
